Philadelphia School of Circus Arts

trapeze studio

The Philadelphia School of Circus Arts is the regional center of contemporary circus arts. Our seasoned faculty leads a curriculum featuring aerials (static trapeze, corde lisse, aerial silks and lyra), juggling, unicycling, tightwire, tumbling and physical conditioning.  In addition to ongoing classes, the School also offers corporate and institutional team-building and leadership workshops, social events, birthday and other parties, summer camp, and special guest performances and presentations.

Classes are geared to specific skill levels, ranging from beginners to professionals. The school also fosters performance opportunities for interested students.

Located in a spacious former warehouse in Germantown, Philadelphia, the facility is outfitted with 20' ceilings, large picture windows and expansive bamboo floors.  Opened in June, 2008, the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts built on the success of the performing troupe Air Play www.airplaytrapeze.com . Both organizations were founded by aerialist Shana Kennedy.

For the physical workout, mental escape, sense of accomplishment, artistry and an emotional high, circus is a wonderful form of recreation and a great way to bring people together.
